The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to the National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Bodejo, in the sum of ₦2 billion over his ongoing money laundering trial.

Delivering the ruling, Justice Inyang Ekwo ordered that Bodejo provide two responsible sureties in the same amount. One of the sureties must own landed property within the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), while the other must present valid tax clearance certificates for the years 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The court further directed the registrar to verify all documents submitted by the sureties before the bail conditions can be deemed satisfied.

As part of the bail conditions, Bodejo was ordered to surrender his international travel documents to the court and was barred from travelling outside Nigeria or beyond the court’s jurisdiction without prior approval. The Nigeria Immigration Service has also been notified of the restriction.

The court adjourned the matter to October 5, 6 and 7, 2026, for the continuation of trial.

Bodejo was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on July 9, 2026, on a 12-count charge bordering on the alleged laundering of $2.33 million. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
