Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has presented compensation cheques to 150 landowners whose properties were acquired by the state government for projects undertaken in the overriding public interest.

The presentation ceremony brought together government officials and key stakeholders, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to fairness, transparency and accountability in the implementation of development projects.

Governor Sanwo-Olu said the compensation exercise reflects the state’s resolve to protect the rights and interests of residents affected by land acquisition while ensuring that due process is followed.

He noted that the initiative forms part of the government’s efforts to balance infrastructure development with the welfare of affected communities, in line with existing legal and regulatory frameworks.

The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure projects while ensuring that those impacted by public developments receive fair and timely compensation.
