President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of 26 individuals into the boards and leadership of 10 Federal Government agencies and commissions as part of efforts to strengthen public institutions and improve governance.

Among the appointments, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose was named Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), while Major General Junaid Bindawa was appointed Chairman of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission.

The President also appointed Dr Abuh Mohammed as Director-General of the National Population Commission (NPC), Dr Akinola Odeyemi as Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET), and Dr Anthony Inalegwu Godwin as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission.

Engineer Julius Oloro was named Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM), replacing the late Dr A.R. Kamal, while Tosin Johnson Adeyanju was redeployed from the National Lottery Trust Fund to serve as Secretary of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

President Tinubu also constituted the board of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, appointing Dr Abdullahi Maikano Saidu as Chairman alongside other members drawn from across the country.

In addition, Shuni Muhammad Dahiru was appointed Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, while Gisaor Vincent Iorja was named Executive Director (Finance) of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA).

According to the Presidency, all the appointments take immediate effect and are aimed at enhancing institutional efficiency, effective service delivery and the implementation of the administration’s development agenda.
