Renowned social media personality and critic, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has regained his freedom after fulfilling stringent bail conditions set by the Nigerian court.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) had arraigned Otse on charges of impersonation following the release of a viral video in which he appeared wearing a police uniform. The video stirred public concern and led to allegations of unlawful impersonation.

During his court appearance today, Otse was granted bail, set at N2 million, with an additional requirement for two sureties, each posting the same amount. The court further ordered Otse to surrender his international passports along with all forms of identification, effectively limiting his travel pending further proceedings.

Otse’s legal troubles have sparked widespread discussions, with supporters and critics weighing in on the implications of his actions and the potential consequences of this ongoing legal battle. The outcome of the case remains uncertain, but for now, Otse’s conditional release marks a temporary reprieve in the unfolding saga.
