Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Thursday commended former Senator Philip Aduda for attending the commissioning of a road project in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), suggesting that his presence reflected public appreciation for ongoing infrastructure development under the FCT Administration.

Speaking during the event, Akpabio recalled serving alongside Aduda in the 8th Senate and noted that he had never been invited to commission any project by the former lawmaker during that period.

The Senate President remarked that Aduda appeared pleased to identify with what he described as the project-driven leadership of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Akpabio further stated that the positive reaction of residents to the ongoing projects could influence future political support for Aduda, adding that he would not be surprised if voters chose to return the former senator to the National Assembly in a future election.

The remarks were made at the commissioning of a road project in Abuja.
