The All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted a 128-member campaign council ahead of the forthcoming Ondo South senatorial district by-election, as the party intensifies preparations to retain the seat.

The council, which comprises party stakeholders, political leaders, and grassroots mobilisers, is expected to coordinate campaign activities, voter engagement, and strategic outreach across the six local government areas that make up the senatorial district.

According to party sources, the move is aimed at strengthening internal cohesion and ensuring an organised campaign structure capable of delivering victory for the APC in the by-election.

The development comes as political parties in the state step up mobilisation efforts ahead of the poll, which is expected to be closely contested given the strategic importance of the Ondo South senatorial seat.
