Breakdown of President Tinubu’s Nearly 11 Million Votes in APC 2027 Presidential Primaries

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured a total of nearly 11 million votes in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries, emerging as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general election after a nationwide collation of results across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The results released after the exercise showed strong support for the President across several regions of the country, with Lagos State leading the chart with 814,988 votes. Adamawa followed with 644,149 votes, while Kaduna recorded 618,914 votes.

Imo delivered 582,960 votes, Kano returned 500,852 votes, and Katsina contributed 467,003 votes. Other states with high figures included Gombe with 450,517 votes, Borno with 414,988 votes, Delta with 407,646 votes, and Akwa Ibom with 389,197 votes.

Enugu recorded 383,382 votes, Benue posted 374,787 votes, while Ogun State delivered 322,485 votes. Zamfara followed with 321,579 votes, Kwara recorded 310,990 votes, and Sokoto contributed 301,000 votes.

Kebbi returned 292,972 votes, Nasarawa delivered 285,436 votes, Rivers recorded 280,082 votes, while Yobe posted 253,804 votes. Plateau contributed 241,720 votes, Bayelsa delivered 227,192 votes, Ebonyi recorded 207,579 votes, and Jigawa returned 206,520 votes.

Kogi State delivered 197,370 votes, Taraba recorded 183,698 votes, Ondo posted 181,996 votes, while Niger contributed 175,487 votes. Abia returned 161,005 votes, Bauchi recorded 156,541 votes, and Oyo posted 142,754 votes.

Cross River delivered 113,911 votes, Edo recorded 121,098 votes, Osun contributed 100,888 votes, while Ekiti returned 85,340 votes. Anambra recorded 43,034 votes, and the Federal Capital Territory posted 36,103 votes.

The outcome of the primaries further consolidates President Tinubu’s position within the ruling APC ahead of the 2027 presidential election, as party members across the country reaffirmed their support for his leadership and administration.
