


First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has commissioned the 198-kilometre Water Pipeline Network in Bwari, Abuja, as part of efforts to improve access to potable water for residents of the Federal Capital Territory.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike; the Minister of State for the FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmood; the Managing Director of China Geo-Engineering Corporation, Zhong Xiang; and other government officials and dignitaries.
The project is expected to enhance water supply to communities in Bwari and surrounding areas, addressing longstanding challenges in access to clean and safe drinking water.
Speaking at the event, stakeholders described the project as a major infrastructure milestone that will improve public health, support socio-economic development and enhance the quality of life for residents.
The commissioning forms part of ongoing efforts by the Federal Government and the FCT Administration to expand critical infrastructure and improve basic services across the nation’s capital.
