President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday, April 30, 2026, received a comprehensive report from the Director-General of the Civil Society Organizations on Community Advancement and Humanitarian Empowerment Initiative (CSCHEI), Kunle Yusuff, MON, at the State House.

The report provides a detailed roadmap for grassroots development and the enhancement of humanitarian interventions across the country. During the presentation, Mr. Yusuff briefed the President on the organization’s efforts to synchronize the activities of various non-governmental entities with the federal government’s social investment programs. He specifically highlighted recent strategic partnerships with international bodies, including the United Nations, aimed at securing technical support and intervention grants to bolster social safety nets for vulnerable Nigerians.

President Tinubu, in response, commended the leadership of CSCHEI for their commitment to bridging the gap between government policy and community-level execution. The President noted that the submission of this report is timely, coming as the administration intensifies its focus on the “Year of Families and Social Development,” a policy drive aimed at direct household empowerment.

The meeting concluded with the President reaffirming his administration’s open-door policy toward civil society groups that demonstrate transparency and a genuine commitment to the Renewed Hope agenda. The report is expected to serve as a framework for future collaborations between the presidency and the humanitarian sector to ensure that development projects are both impactful and measurable at the local government level.
