Justice Alexander Owoeye of the Federal High Court in Lagos on Thursday suspended proceedings in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)’s case against Ezekiel Onyedikachi, also known as Eezee Tee, citing an ongoing administrative procedure.

The EFCC had filed a four-count charge against Onyedikachi for alleged fraudulent conversion.

At the hearing, senior lawyers Chikaosolu Ojukwu (SAN) and Dr. Monday Ubani (SAN) represented Onyedikachi, while Bilikisu Buhari appeared for the EFCC. Unlike the previous session, Onyedikachi was present in court.

Justice Owoeye informed both parties that he could not proceed with the case due to an administrative process that needed to be completed.

“There is an administrative procedure ongoing in this case, and until it is completed, I cannot make any pronouncement on it,” he stated.

The judge also declined a request by Ojukwu to maintain the status quo pending the conclusion of the process.

The matter was adjourned to May 14.
