President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has endorsed the 2025 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), scheduled to hold in Lagos from November 25 to 30 under the theme “Unstoppable Africa.” In line with this, the Federal Government has inaugurated a Local Organising Committee (LOC) to coordinate the event in partnership with the African Union, Lagos State Government, and AFRIMA’s international team.
The committee includes representatives from key ministries such as Arts, Culture, Tourism, Foreign Affairs, Information, Youth, Education, and Aviation, along with national agencies in the creative sector. Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa said AFRIMA aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and will boost cultural diplomacy, tourism, and job creation through the creative economy.
Ugochi Akudo Nwosu, Director of Entertainment and Creative Economy, conveyed the President’s appreciation for the opportunity to host the awards. AFRIMA President, Mike Dada, commended Tinubu’s leadership, noting the endorsement reflects Nigeria’s role in promoting African talent. The event will feature major activities including the Diamond Showcase, Music Business Summit, AFRIMA Music Village, and the grand awards night, to be broadcast globally.
