The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the outcome of the recent Ekiti State governorship election as a strong endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the performance of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
Reacting to Governor Oyebanji’s landslide re-election victory, party leaders and supporters said the result demonstrated the confidence of Ekiti voters in the APC administration at both the state and federal levels.
They argued that the overwhelming mandate given to the governor reflected public approval of ongoing reforms, development initiatives, and governance policies being implemented under the APC.
Supporters of the ruling party also maintained that the election outcome showed growing acceptance of President Tinubu’s policies, describing the result as a validation of the administration’s efforts to promote economic growth and development.
Governor Oyebanji, who secured victory across all local government areas of the state, pledged to continue implementing programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people and advancing Ekiti’s development agenda.
The election has continued to generate reactions from political stakeholders, with many viewing the result as an important indicator of the APC’s strength ahead of future electoral contests.
