
Vice President Kashim Shettima on Tuesday paid a condolence visit to the residence of the late former President in Daura, Katsina State. Upon arrival, the Vice President was received by family members and community leaders.
He first met with the matriarch of the Buhari family, offering heartfelt condolences and words of comfort. Shettima joined the family in a solemn moment of prayer, seeking peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved.
After the private consolations, the Vice President proceeded to join the Third Day prayer session (Fidau) alongside dignitaries, clerics, and well-wishers who gathered to honor the memory of the late statesman. The prayer session was marked by reflections on the late leader’s life and contributions to national development.
Security was tight around the residence, with hundreds of sympathizers lining the streets to catch a glimpse of the Vice President and other attendees.
