Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will later this month commission the newly accredited College of Petroleum and Energy Studies in Kaduna. The institution recently received a provisional operational license to function as a private postgraduate university, with a focus on petroleum and energy education.
Governor Sani made this known on Monday while receiving the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Ahmad Aminu, during a courtesy visit at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House. The governor commended President Tinubu for his swift approval, describing the development as a strategic move toward building local expertise in the energy sector.
“We cannot make progress in a fast-changing and complex society if we fail to develop local capacity,” Governor Sani noted. He emphasized the college’s potential to transform Nigeria’s petroleum industry through human capital development and pledged the full support of the Kaduna State Government in ensuring its success.
