
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have successfully repelled infiltration attempts by insurgents in Monguno and Bitta, neutralising several terrorists and recovering a cache of arms, ammunition, and equipment.
In Monguno, troops recovered a large quantity of 7.62mm special ammunition, one PKT belt, one AK-47 magazine, a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) bomb, and other assorted items following the failed attack.
In Bitta, troops engaged the insurgents with superior firepower, neutralising several fighters, including a senior commander identified as Ibn Khalid, as well as the group’s cameraman. Multiple AK-47 magazines were recovered during the operation.
In related operations across the Sambisa axis, Madagali, and Kaga Local Government Areas, troops neutralised 17 additional terrorists and seized logistics supplies, including motorcycles and various equipment.
The high command has commended the troops for their resilience and professionalism, urging them to sustain the momentum in the ongoing counter-insurgency operations.
