
ABUJA – As the All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares for its highly anticipated National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Thursday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held a crucial consultation with governors elected on the platform of the party on Wednesday night in Abuja.
The closed-door meeting, which took place at the Presidential Villa, was aimed at harmonizing positions and fostering unity ahead of deliberations expected at the NEC gathering. Party sources disclosed that discussions focused on internal cohesion, strategic appointments, and the direction of key policy matters affecting both the party and the nation.
President Tinubu, who serves as the National Leader of the APC, emphasized the importance of unity and coordination among stakeholders as the party navigates major decisions in its second year in power.
The NEC meeting is expected to deliberate on key internal matters, including the ratification of appointments, policy reviews, and the party’s roadmap ahead of the 2027 general elections.
