Social media activist Vincent Otse Martins, popularly known as Verydarkman, has strongly criticised legendary fuji musician Wasiu Omogbolahan Adewale, better known as Kwam 1, over his recent conduct at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The controversy stems from an incident in which the singer allegedly stood in front of a plane, reportedly in defiance of aviation security protocols.
In a video posted to Instagram on Friday, Verydarkman expressed concern that Kwam 1’s actions not only put his own life in danger but also risked the safety of other passengers. He cited potential scenarios where the musician could have been struck by the aircraft’s propeller or caused a collision as the pilot attempted to avoid him. “If na advanced country we dey, dey for detain Kwam,” he said, insisting that the matter was serious enough to warrant legal action.
The activist further stressed that the aviation industry operates on strict schedules, warning that Kwam 1’s behaviour may have disrupted passengers’ urgent plans, including medical appointments and life-changing opportunities. “Standing in front of that plane is stepping on people’s rights,” he argued, adding that punctuality is critical to ensuring the safety and efficiency of air travel. The incident has since sparked widespread debate online about celebrity privilege and compliance with public safety rules.
