Global Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Rev. Biodun Fatoyinbo, has publicly apologized to the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) and the family of the late Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola after a press statement from CAC addressed comments attributed to him.
Posting his response on Instagram on August 14, 2025, Fatoyinbo described Apostle Babalola as “a most distinguished father of faith in Nigeria and across the world” and expressed gratitude to CAC for handling the matter in what he called “an exemplary Christian manner.”
The COZA leader clarified that his earlier sermon had been misunderstood, stressing that he never spoke negatively about the Apostle’s children. He insisted that the full sermon is available online for verification.
Fatoyinbo praised the children of Apostle Babalola for their dedication to God’s work, calling them “shining examples of generational impact” and “present-day role models.” He also acknowledged being a direct beneficiary of the spiritual grace upon the late Apostle’s life.
In his words: “I sincerely apologize if any statement I made has caused distress, hurt, or discontentment to CAC, the family of the late Apostle Babalola, or his associates. I will never disrespect or speak of them in an unbecoming manner — either publicly or privately.”
He concluded by praying for the continued growth of CAC and for the legacy of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola to “grow in leaps and bounds.”
