President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on infrastructure is making visible strides nationwide, with work progressing steadily on the 118.85-kilometre Ebonyi section of the Trans-Saharan Super Highway in Afikpo North Local Government Area. The ambitious road project is designed to link multiple regions, boosting connectivity and economic activity.
Once completed, the superhighway will connect the South-East, North-Central, and South-South zones, serving as a key transport artery for trade and travel. It will traverse Cross River State, the South-East, and North-Central regions—linking APO-Abuja with a spur from Lagos-Port Harcourt—while passing through Enugu, Ebonyi, and Ogoja in Northern Cross River.
Officials say the project will not only ease transportation but also stimulate regional commerce, create jobs, and improve access to markets and services for millions of Nigerians. It is one of several large-scale infrastructure initiatives under Tinubu’s administration aimed at transforming the country’s road network.
