President Tinubu Appoints New Leadership for Nigerian Television Authority

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of new leadership for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in a move aimed at strengthening national broadcasting and repositioning the state-owned broadcaster as a platform for unity, cohesion, and soft diplomacy.

According to a statement from the Presidency, the appointments take immediate effect.

• Rotimi Richard Pedro (Lagos, South-West) has been appointed Director-General of NTA.

• Karimah Bello (Katsina, North-West) becomes Executive Director, Marketing.

• Stella Din (Plateau, North-Central) assumes office as Executive Director, News.

• Sophia Issa Mohammed (Adamawa, North-East) has been named Managing Director of NTA Enterprises Limited.

The Presidency emphasized that the appointments reflect President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening national broadcasting as a strategic tool for promoting unity across Nigeria’s diverse regions and enhancing the country’s global image through soft diplomacy.

The new appointees are expected to bring fresh energy and innovation to the NTA, ensuring the broadcaster remains a relevant and reliable platform for information dissemination, cultural projection, and national cohesion.
