President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mrs. Grace Adayilo, the pioneer Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

In a condolence message issued on Monday, the President commiserated with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as well as the family, colleagues, and associates of the late Adayilo. He described her passing as a painful loss to the FCT and to Nigeria’s civil service.

Mrs. Adayilo, who died in the early hours of Monday, September 1, 2025, had previously served as the Education Secretary of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC). She was appointed the first Head of Service of the FCTA after President Tinubu approved a new civil service structure for the territory.

The President prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and urged her family, friends, and colleagues to find strength in the legacy of dedicated service she left behind.
