
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has conferred posthumous national honors on four prominent Ogoni leaders in recognition of their sacrifices and contributions to justice and the struggle for the rights of their people.
The honorees include Chief Edward Kobani, Chief Albert Badey, Chief Samuel Orage, and Chief Theophilus Orage, each of whom was awarded the title of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).
The recognition is part of the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to honor the memory of individuals who played historic roles in advancing justice, fairness, and national unity.
By bestowing these awards, President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to national reconciliation, healing, and the acknowledgment of past sacrifices in the journey toward building a just and inclusive Nigeria.
