President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated his long-standing associate and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Alhaji Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.

In a message released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised the former Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development for his patriotism, consistency, and commitment to progressive politics.

President Tinubu noted that Gwarzo’s popularity and respect among his people stem from his principled approach to politics, which prioritizes the welfare of the people. He highlighted Gwarzo’s service as local government chairman and later as deputy governor of Kano State between 2007 and 2011 as examples of his people-centered leadership.

The President also recalled Gwarzo’s contributions in 2011 as the governorship candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), when he played a pivotal role in strengthening the political structures that eventually gave rise to the APC in 2013.

President Tinubu congratulated the celebrant on this milestone age and urged him to continue to dedicate himself to the service of the nation and the cause of progressive governance.
