Ex-Big Brother Naija star Phyna has publicly accused the Dangote Group of negligence and insensitivity following the tragic death of her sister, Ruth Otabor. Phyna alleges that the conglomerate failed to fully cover medical and burial expenses as they had initially promised, leaving the family to bear significant financial burdens from Auchi to Irrua. She insists the company only paid bills related to Lagoon Hospital in Lagos.
On the day of Ruth’s burial, attempts by the family to communicate with Dangote Group were reportedly ignored, which deepened their frustration. Phyna shared a letter allegedly drafted by the company and sent to her father, demanding an acknowledgment of receipt for burial expenses—a move she condemned as impersonation and disrespectful manipulation.
Phyna’s allegations have raised questions about the corporate responsibility and transparency of Dangote Group in handling the tragedy. She expressed deep pain over the situation, accusing the company of trying to control the narrative instead of showing compassion and honesty toward her family.
