Nigerian singer and actor Yhemolee has spoken out against the increasing trend of online begging. In a recent post, he expressed frustration over how social media platforms have shifted from social interaction to becoming spaces dominated by individuals asking for financial help.
The artist pointed out that the main difference between traditional street beggars and online ones is simply the access to internet data. He lamented that comments on his posts often flood with account numbers from strangers requesting money.
Yhemolee urged his followers to ignore such solicitations and called out those who have perfected the craft of begging online. He firmly asked people to keep his posts free from begging appeals.
