Favour Michael Kanu, wife of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has made a heartfelt appeal to Justice James Omotosho of the Abuja High Court, urging him to ensure her husband does not die in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

The emotional plea came amid growing concerns over the health and welfare of the IPOB leader, who has been in detention since his arrest and extradition to Nigeria in 2021. Mrs. Kanu expressed fears that her husband’s condition has deteriorated under prolonged confinement, calling on the court to intervene before it is too late.

She urged Justice Omotosho to compel the DSS to provide immediate medical attention and fair treatment to her husband, emphasizing that his continued detention under harsh conditions poses a serious threat to his life.
