The Federal Government, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has launched a new youth-focused initiative to commemorate African and National Youth Day 2025, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to empowering young Nigerians through innovation, skills development, and entrepreneurship.

Speaking at the event, the Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, explained that the initiative aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes youth empowerment as a cornerstone for national development.

Hon. Olawande stated that the programme will create new opportunities for skills acquisition, leadership training, digital innovation, and access to start-up funding, designed to equip young Nigerians to thrive in an increasingly competitive global economy.

He further emphasized that celebrating African and National Youth Day is not only symbolic but also a reminder of the government’s ongoing efforts to invest in the potential of its youth population, ensuring that they remain active contributors to Nigeria’s growth story.

The Minister assured that the administration will continue to implement inclusive policies that promote youth participation in governance, technology, and the creative economy.
