President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, received Mr Anders Holch Povlsen, Denmark’s richest man and Chief Executive Officer of the global fashion group BESTSELLER, at the State House, Abuja.

Mr Povlsen, who also chairs the BESTSELLER Foundation, was accompanied by the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Bach Hansen, as well as senior members of his team. The visit underscored Denmark’s growing interest in deepening trade, investment and innovation partnerships with Nigeria.

During the meeting, discussions centered on expanding collaboration in digital innovation, green investments and youth entrepreneurship, key areas aligned with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for sustainable economic growth.

Also present at the meeting were the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, who highlighted ongoing efforts to attract global tech investments and promote Nigeria as Africa’s digital hub.

Mr Povlsen, one of Europe’s most influential business leaders, expressed strong interest in working with Nigerian partners through the BESTSELLER Foundation to support technology-driven development and climate-smart business ventures across the country.
