Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso has dismissed recent speculation surrounding Vinícius Júnior, insisting there is “no Vini Jr case” while praising the Brazilian for his honesty and professionalism.
Speaking on Friday, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, Alonso said: “There’s no Vini Jr case — everything has been clarified. Vini spoke in front of all of us on Wednesday, and he was fantastic — very honest, very clear. His statement was powerful, but what he said to his teammates mattered most.”
Alonso confirmed that Vinícius would not face any disciplinary action, adding, “The matter is closed. He was impeccable in his address to the team.”
PUNCH Online earlier reported that Vinícius had publicly apologised to fans, teammates, and club officials for his reaction after being substituted during Sunday’s heated El Clásico against Barcelona.
Alonso also addressed the situation of young winger Endrick, who has struggled for game time amid reports of an impending loan move in January.
“I would have liked Endrick to have had more minutes, but certain circumstances need to be right,” Alonso explained.
Discussions are already underway between Real Madrid and potential clubs as Endrick prepares for a possible loan spell during the January transfer window.
