
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has formally written to the Senate, seeking the confirmation of Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, from Enugu State, as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The communication was read during Tuesday’s plenary session by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Dr. Udeh, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and legal scholar, is being nominated to fill a ministerial vacancy in the Federal Executive Council. His nomination reflects the President’s ongoing effort to strengthen his administration with qualified professionals capable of driving national development and implementing key policy priorities under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Senate is expected to screen and confirm Dr. Udeh in line with constitutional provisions and established legislative procedures. The screening process will assess his competence, experience, and vision for contributing to the Tinubu administration’s goals.
