Nigerian celebrity chef, Hilda Baci, has received her second Guinness World Record plaque, officially recognizing her achievement for cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice. Guinness World Records confirmed that Baci prepared an incredible 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) of jollof rice during a Lagos cookout in September, making it the largest ever recorded.
This milestone marks Baci’s second global recognition, following her first Guinness title for completing a 93-hour, 11-minute cooking marathon in May 2023. With both records, she becomes Nigeria’s first and most decorated chef to hold multiple Guinness World Records — a historic feat that continues to inspire millions.
Sharing photos of her new plaques on Instagram, Baci described her double honor as a story of “faith, fire, and history,” adding that both records celebrate Nigeria’s creativity and culinary excellence. She thanked her supporters and partners for helping her make history once again on the global stage.
