President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed a halt on the sale of properties owned by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), signaling a shift in the management of the nation’s aviation assets. The directive aims to protect critical infrastructure and ensure strategic assets remain under government control.

At the same Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, ministers also approved the procurement of advanced aviation security gadgets to strengthen safety and security across Nigerian airports. The move aligns with ongoing efforts to modernise the country’s aviation sector and enhance passenger protection.

These decisions reflect the administration’s commitment to safeguarding national assets while boosting aviation sector efficiency and security.
