President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to confronting national security challenges and advancing the country’s interests on the international stage. Speaking on the nation’s security and diplomatic posture, the President emphasized that Nigeria faces terrorism head-on and will not waver in its resolve to eliminate all threats to peace and stability.

“We are indeed faced with terrorism – a challenge Nigeria has faced for almost two decades, and we will not back down. We will decisively defeat terrorism and claim victory in this battle. Security is non-negotiable, and we will never compromise on this principle,” President Tinubu said. He underscored the importance of unity, courage, and adherence to the rule of law as central to the nation’s efforts.

Highlighting the role of Nigeria’s armed forces and intelligence community, the President expressed deep gratitude to the men and women who serve fearlessly, often at great personal risk. “To the brave men and women of our armed forces and intelligence community united by purpose, regardless of tribe or religion… your commitment is our strength in the fight against terror,” he noted.

President Tinubu also reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to international cooperation, describing the country as a reliable partner and steady voice for stability.
