The Lagos State Government has given the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) until November 10, 2025, to comply with the state’s e-call-up system for trucks operating along the Lekki–Epe Corridor.
Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said the deadline follows repeated reminders for NUPENG members to register and use the platform, which is designed to control truck movements, stop illegal parking, and ease congestion on the busy route.
He warned that enforcement would begin immediately after the deadline, stressing that some drivers still operate outside the system and collect cash illegally on the roads.
The e-call-up platform, launched in September 2024, requires trucks to book and get clearance before entering designated holding bays such as Hog Marketing Ltd (Epe), Goldspeed Freight (Dangote Refinery area), and Diamond Star Terminal (Abule Panu).
The government earlier fixed a ₦10,000 access fee per truck. It says the system is part of efforts to promote digital traffic management and improve logistics efficiency. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
