Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest airline, has taken delivery of a dry-leased Boeing 737-700 NG, marking the first such lease in the country in almost ten years. The aircraft arrived at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, in a ceremony attended by the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, the NCAA Director-General, and executives from AerCap Holdings, Boeing, and Fidelity Bank.

A dry lease provides the aircraft only, with the airline responsible for crew, maintenance, and insurance. The deal signals renewed international confidence in Nigeria’s aviation sector, following policy reforms that strengthened regulatory oversight and investor protections.

Air Peace aims to use the new aircraft to expand its fleet, increase regional connectivity, and enhance service quality, strengthening its position as a leading carrier in West and Central Africa. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
