The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed claims circulating on social media alleging an attempted assassination on Lt. Ahmed Yerima.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Police Command clarified that no such incident was reported or recorded in any part of the FCT. It urged residents to disregard what it described as false and misleading information capable of causing unnecessary public panic.

The Command further advised members of the public to avoid spreading unverified claims and instead remain vigilant. It encouraged residents to promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest police division or contact the Command Headquarters through its emergency lines: 08032003913 and 08068587311.
