President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerian judges to safeguard the integrity of the judiciary, stressing that no reform can succeed if justice is tainted by bias or corruption. Speaking at the opening of the 2025 All Nigerian Judges Conference in Abuja, the President highlighted the importance of public confidence in the judicial system, noting that justice must not only be delivered according to law but must also be perceived as fair and impartial by citizens.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the judiciary through improved welfare, enhanced training, and modernized court infrastructure. President Tinubu emphasized the need for digital transformation of court processes, efficient case management, and the elimination of prolonged trial delays. He noted that a strong, efficient, and incorruptible judiciary is essential for protecting democracy and ensuring national stability.
