The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), in partnership with the British High Commission, today hosted the UK–Nigeria Trade Mission Fair in Abuja, with a strong focus on boosting visibility and global opportunities for women-led enterprises. The event brought together policymakers, development partners, exporters, and investors to strengthen trade collaborations between both countries.
The fair highlighted the creativity and competitiveness of Nigerian women-owned brands, providing them with direct exposure to potential partners and buyers in the United Kingdom market. Exhibitors showcased products across sectors including fashion, beauty, agriculture, food processing, and creative industries, positioning their businesses for expanded export potential.
According to organisers, the mission aims to deepen market access, enhance international branding for Nigerian products, and create new pathways for women entrepreneurs to scale beyond local markets. It also aligns with ongoing efforts to boost non-oil exports and diversify Nigeria’s economy.
The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment reaffirmed its commitment to promoting policies and partnerships that enable women-led businesses to grow, export, and compete globally, emphasising that inclusive trade remains central to Nigeria’s economic transformation agenda.
