A brief moment of tension unfolded today at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, as former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, was escorted out of the PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) Hall.

The incident occurred while Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State were addressing members of the press. According to witnesses, voices were heard saying, “Let him out, who is he? This is not your PDP,” as security personnel guided Ortom out of the hall.

Details surrounding the confrontation remain unclear, but the scene added to the already heightened atmosphere within the party following recent leadership tensions and factional disagreements.

Party officials have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident, though it has generated significant attention among members and observers monitoring developments at today’s meeting.
