The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the postponement of the reception for the Executive Governor of Taraba State, His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas, which was initially scheduled for Wednesday, November 19, 2025. A new date for the event will be communicated in due course.

The decision to postpone the reception comes as a mark of respect for members of the armed forces and citizens recently killed by terrorists, as well as for victims of abduction, including the 25 students of Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Kebbi State. The party lauded the courage and sacrifices of security personnel who risk their lives to protect citizens and uphold national security.

In its statement, the APC expressed condolences to the families of victims and prayed for the safe return of the students taken by criminal elements. The party emphasized that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration remains committed to eradicating insurgency, banditry, and other forms of violent crime, and bringing perpetrators to justice.

The announcement was made by Felix Morka, CON, National Publicity Secretary of the APC, reaffirming the party’s solidarity with affected communities and its resolve to support victims while strengthening national security.
