President Tinubu Oversees Rescue Operations, Cancels G20 Trip to Focus on National Security

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has cancelled his trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally coordinate security efforts within Nigeria.

In a statement to the nation, the President announced that all 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State, have been safely rescued following operations by the nation’s security forces. He also confirmed that 51 of the missing students from the Catholic school in Niger State have been recovered.

President Tinubu reassured Nigerians that he is closely monitoring the security situation nationwide, receiving continuous updates from frontline security personnel.

He emphasized that his administration will not relent in ensuring the safety of every Nigerian, stating that under his watch, the government will secure the nation and protect its citizens.
