Ahead of the national launch of the Federal Government’s Ward Development Programme, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State as the Renewed Hope Ambassador. The appointment takes immediate effect.

In his new role, Governor Uzodimma will also serve as the Director-General for Party Outreach, Engagement, and Mobilisation. He is tasked with collaborating with All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership and governors to promote the Tinubu administration’s initiatives and programmes nationwide.

As Renewed Hope Ambassador, Uzodimma, who also chairs the Progressive Governors Forum, will ensure harmony, inclusiveness, and strategic coordination across all party levels. He will also lead efforts to mobilise and engage Nigerians alongside APC governors, who have also been designated as Ambassadors of Hope.

President Tinubu emphasized that Uzodimma and his colleagues are expected to highlight the party’s achievements since 2023, reinforcing the message of Renewed Hope across the country. Since assuming office in May 2023, the Tinubu administration has recorded significant economic gains, including easing inflation for seven consecutive months to 16.05 percent in October, stabilizing the exchange rate, and increasing foreign exchange reserves from $32 billion in 2023 to over $46 billion.

Investor confidence has returned, with notable growth in foreign direct and portfolio investments, particularly in the oil and gas sector. The stock market is experiencing unprecedented growth, the economy is diversifying through solid minerals, over 700,000 students have benefited from the government’s liberal educational loan policy, and travel passports are now issued in less than a week.

In his message to Governor Uzodimma, President Tinubu urged him to ensure that Nigerians are fully aware of and understand the administration’s achievements.
