Post-harvest losses in Kano State have fallen by 51%, the Kano State Agro-Pastoral Development Project (KSADP) announced. Coordinator Abdulrasheed Kofarmata said the improvement comes from better storage facilities, farmer training, and climate-smart agricultural technologies.

The initiative has benefited over 477,000 farmers across 44 local government areas, boosting average income by ₦972,462 per hectare. KSADP also supported production clusters, seed systems, and agro-processing infrastructure, leading to significant yield gains in rice, maize, sorghum, millet, and vegetables.
