Government Threatens Asset Takeover to Compensate Dana Air Passengers

The Federal Government says it may take over Dana Air’s assets to refund passengers stranded after the airline’s suspension.

Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo said the move would be considered if Dana Air is unable to reimburse affected travelers. He stressed that passengers will not be allowed to suffer losses.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) recently halted the airline’s operations over safety and financial concerns, leaving many passengers grounded despite paid bookings.

Keyamo noted that refund guidelines will be announced soon, and the suspension will remain in place until issues raised by regulators are resolved.

Dana Air has faced previous regulatory sanctions, including a suspension in 2022. Visit www.jocomms.com for more news.
