NAF Alpha Jet Crashes in Niger State, Pilots Eject Safely

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet crashed on Saturday near Karabonde, in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.

The aircraft went down around 4:10 p.m., but both pilots ejected safely and were rescued. Residents reported hearing a loud explosion before seeing smoke from the crash site.

According to early reports, the pilots steered the jet away from populated areas before ejecting, preventing any civilian casualties. They are currently undergoing medical checks.
