The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has officially issued a party membership card to Governor Siminalayi Fubara, marking his formal induction into the ruling party.

The ceremony took place on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Government House, Port Harcourt, where Governor Fubara received his APC membership card from Chief Tony Okocha, the state party chairman. The event was also attended by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, among other party leaders.

Governor Fubara’s registration into APC follows his recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), aligning him with the ruling party ahead of upcoming political engagements in the state and nationally.

The APC leadership said the induction reflects the party’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Rivers State and supporting its elected officials in delivering on governance and development objectives.
