
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed seven new executive directors to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), marking a significant reshuffle aimed at strengthening the organization’s leadership across key departments. Among the appointees is a mix of returning executives and new faces with specialized expertise.
The reappointed Ayo Adewuyi will continue in his role as Executive Director of News, where he has overseen the NTA’s news operations with a focus on accurate and timely reporting.
Joining him is Bar. Ibrahim Aliyu, a legal practitioner, as Executive Director of Special Duties. His legal expertise is expected to provide crucial oversight and ensure compliance within the broadcaster’s operations.
The Executive Director for Administration and Training is now Malam Muhammed Fatuhu Mustapha, who will manage internal staff development and administrative functions to enhance operational efficiency.
A notable addition is Mrs. Apinke Effiong, appointed as Executive Director of Finance. With a solid background in financial marketing, treasury, and management accounting, her expertise in financial reporting will be pivotal to NTA’s fiscal oversight.
Mrs. Tari Taylaur, an experienced audio/visual creator and producer, steps into the role of Executive Director for Programmes. As a showrunner, she will be responsible for content creation and management, positioning NTA to produce compelling and engaging programming.
Mr. Sadique Musa Omeiza takes charge as Executive Director of Engineering, where his technical proficiency will drive the modernization of the network’s broadcasting technology and infrastructure.
Finally, Mrs. Oluwakemi Fashina, an integrated marketing communications professional and chartered marketer, assumes the role of Executive Director of Marketing. Her extensive marketing experience is expected to boost NTA’s revenue generation through strategic campaigns and partnerships.
This new leadership team reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to revamping the NTA and ensuring that Nigeria’s national broadcaster remains competitive and relevant in an evolving media landscape.
