His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, the Alaafin of Oyo, has conferred the chieftaincy title of Obaloyin of Yorubaland on former Governor of Zamfara State, H.E. Senator Abdulaziz Yari.

During the same ceremony, Barr. Seyi Tinubu was installed as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland.

The event drew several prominent national figures, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, Senate Majority Leader Senator Michael Bamidele, and other lawmakers and dignitaries from across Nigeria.

The conferment of these titles highlights the Alaafin’s recognition of their contributions to the nation and the Yoruba people.
