President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Lagos for Europe as part of his end-of-year break, ahead of an official engagement in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The President will participate in the 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2026) Summit, following an invitation from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The weeklong summit, scheduled for early January, convenes global leaders from government, business, and civil society to explore pathways for sustainable development.

This year, ADSW will be held under the theme “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go”, focusing on translating ambition into actionable solutions across innovation, finance, and human capital, with the aim of demonstrating how the world can advance confidently into the future.

After concluding the summit, President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria, resuming official duties following the international engagement.
