An All Progressives Congress (APC) support group has praised Benjamin Kalu, deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, for his efforts in expanding the party’s presence at the grassroots level in Abia State.

In a statement on Monday, the APC South-East Mandate Forum said Kalu’s active engagement across communities is reshaping the political landscape in Abia, despite the state being governed by the Labour Party (LP).

The forum added that Kalu’s leadership has contributed to defections from the LP, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and other platforms to the APC, strengthening the party’s foothold in the state.
